Avidog offers a comprehensive programme via their Litter A-Z course. Puppy Culture is a puppy-raising programme for breeders, created by Jane Killion. You too can play a part in that community by following and subscribing. We are listed on the Puppy Culture breeders’ map and we are also Avidog Associate Breeders. Our ever-growing Puppy Culture community is a unique place to ask questions, soak up the great wisdom others have to offer and to share your own experiences. While they will still have the occasional accident in their new homes, if a solid potty schedule program is set in place from day one, you and your new puppy will enjoy great success. What really adds value to Puppy Culture are the puppies and the people. As the puppies grow they slowly use the pads less and less, using the grass area more consistently. The cleaner the pen is kept the quicker puppies catch on to potty training concepts.

During the day these pads are removed whenever a puppy potties on them and fresh ones put down. The weaning pen is set up with real grass on one side and plenty of absorbent pads between the grass and the sleeping area. Potty Training: My puppies are started in potty training as soon as they begin pottying on their own. We provide our puppy families with a training video produced by Puppy Culture as part of their puppy pack which will aid them in continuing this training. With the Puppy Culture Workbook Bundle: Laminated Edition, you will receive two vital tools that will prepare you to care for your litter of puppies and guide. In addition to ENS during the first 2 weeks we will go through exercises that equip the puppies with problem solving skills, confidence, and a foundation in potty training, crate training, leash walking, and socialization. This program provides a nice, organized course map for rearing exercises and record keeping. I follow the puppy culture rearing program with my puppies.

I do BAER testing (hearing) de-worming microchipping first set of shots and first vet visit plus I send them home with their first dose of flea and tick us, I try my hardest to expose them to lots of different stimuli during the 8-12 weeks they are with me (I raise them on a program called puppy culture).plus, we work on crate training, car rides, and basic potty training too. Hips X-rayed with OFA - they must score at least a good to be a part of our breeding program Puppy Culture teaches you to pick up where we leave off for a smooth transition from our home to yours. They are tested and cleared for the following:ĬEA TNS CL and MDR-1 (plus, many other genetic tests as well) Early Scent Introduction (ESI) days 3-16.

I make sure my girls are clear of all the genetic diseases that can be tested for in Border Collies. Enjoy some photographs from one of our litters below showing Puppy Culture experiences.

I breed for structure, health, and temperament. Learn about the Puppy Culture program here As a Lagotto breeder, we have experienced that the Puppy Culture methods are key to building socialization skills, confidence, and happy and loving temperaments. I do a lot of planning for our breedings and usually only do one to two per year.
